Vibration of Euler-beam in idea fluid

Owing to the strong non-linear characteristic of Naveir-Strokes equation,there has been little progress in the theory of fluid-structure interaction( FSI). In this paper,a two-dimensional FSI problem of a beam vibrating in idea fluid is analyzed. The beam satisfies the assumption of the Euler-Benelli beam and the fluid is taken to be non-vortex and inviscid. On the basis of the above assumption and with the method of Fourier series,the governing equation is deduced and some theoretical solutions are obtained. According to the solutions,the velocity and pressure of the fluid is a simple harmonic function along the axis direction of the beam,and an exponent function along the normal direction of the beam. In the time domain,all the terms are of harmonic function. Finally,the numerical simulation was carried out by using ANSYS and FLUENT. The Numerical result is in good agreement with the theoretical result.
