Comparative study and calculations of wind load based on different national classification rules of semi-submersible tender support platforms

The wind load is one of the design loads for offshore platform structures,which plays an important role in the stability of the platform,and it also important for the security of the platform. So it has important engineering significance to calculations of the wind loads of the platform in different conditions. In this paper,the semisubmersible platform BT3500 TSV is taken as the research object,and three kinds of classification rules,China Classification Society(CCS),Det Norske Veritas(DNV) and American Bureau of Shipping(ABS),are used to calculate different wind loads under four different conditions. The calculation results of different specifications are compared,and the changing trend of the wind load torque of the platform under different wind directions is analyzed and summarized.
