Optimization of block lifting sequence on the berth based on genetic algorithm

In order to optimize the block lifting sequence and the reasonable allocation of platform resource under the constraints of the segmentation process and resource, a mathematical model is established of lifting order optimization on the basis of the theory of resource constrained project scheduling problem. Then,aiming at the deficiency that standard genetic algorithm is too much dependent on population size and crossover mutation operator, an adaptive adjustment strategy is proposed to improve the performance of the algorithm, and it is applied to the above model. Finally, an optimization of block lifting sequence example is given by applying the model to the construction of four 3900 TEU container ships. By comparing with the initial dispatching scheme of the shipyard, it is demonstrated that the improved genetic algorithm is reasonable and feasible in optimization of the multi ships lifting sequence.
