Analysis of energy savings for the pumps in series ice storage system

XU Jian, XU Gong-duo, GUO Kai-hua (Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou 510070, China)  
Three means to save energy in the design of series ice storage system, including secondary pump, variable speed pump and chiller by-pass valve, are discussed and compared by simulation and computation in the paper. Finally, an economical and effective means is proposed.
