Red Cd Se quantum dots synthesized with oleic acid and paraffin liquid system for high color rendering white light emitting diodes

Semiconductor quantum dots have a unique property of quantum size confinement,the band gap of semiconductor increased with the size decreasing. In the oleic acid and paraffin liquid greener synthesis system,the size of Cd Se quantum dots can be controlled by surfactant oleylamine. Larger diameter Cd Se quantum dots can be acquired with oleylamine adding,and then the range of emitting spectra can reach red region with emission peak at 630 nm. Stable light convert material can be acquired by coating red quantum dots with Si O2. High color rendering( Ra = 90) white LED was fabricated by packaging blue LED chip with yellow phosphor and red quantum dots.
