The viscosity and conductivity of choline chloride-urea ionic liquids

The viscosity and conductivity of choline chloride-urea ionic liquids were measured in the298—353 K temperature range at atmospheric pressure,and the effect of temperature,lactic acid and water on the viscosity and conductivity of the liquid was investigated. The results show that the ionic liquids have lower viscosity and better conductivity,and the viscosity decreases with the increase of temperature. With the increase of the temperature,the viscosity and conductivity varies with the temperature is in accord with the Arrhenius empirical formula and VTF equation,and the relationship between viscosity activation energy and conductivity activation energy is obtained,and the relation between viscosity and conductivity conforms to Walden rule. The addition of lactic acid and water to the viscosity of ionic liquids decrease and the conductivity increase,and the effect of the content on viscosity and conductance is no longer apparent.
