Synthesis of hybrid materials [Cu( 2,2'-bipy)_3]_3(P_2W_(18)O_(62)) and its adsorption performance of methylene blue

A hybrid material [Cu( 2,2'-bipy)_3]_3(P_2W_(18)O_(62)) was synthesized by chemical coprecipitation method,characterized by FT IR,EDS,and so on. Its adsorption ability of methylene blue( MB) was studied in aqueous solutions,and the influences of the experimental conditions was explored,including p H,initial concentration and temperature. The result showed that the low p H and high temperature were benefit to the adsorption of MB onto [Cu( 2,2'-bipy)_3]_3(P_2W_(18)O_(62)). From the experiment data,the Langmuir isotherm model and pseudo-sencond-order kinetic model was fitted the adsorption process. Thermodynamic parametars( ΔG~0 0,ΔH~0 0 and ΔS~0 0),illustrated that the adsorption progress was spontaneous and endothermic,the complexes towards other cationic dyes such as rhodamine B also showed good adsorption properties.
