Remote sensing estimation net primary productivity( NPP) of ecosystem in Wuhan City using the CASA model

For studying ecological system NPP spatial distribution characteristics of rapid urbanization region,based on the LANDSAT-ETM remote sensing data and spatial analysis technology,the work improved CASA model,builded the NPP estimation model in Wuhan,estimated the net primary productivity of Wuhan and 13 districts in 2013. Results showed that: 1) ecosystem NPP total of Wuhan was 154. 22 × 10~(10) g C,generally the regions of far away city far more than central downtown,in land using types,the woodland contributed relatively largest to the NPP,NPP total of seven central downtown was 5. 38 × 10~(10) g C,NPP total of six regions of far away city was 141. 64 × 10~(10) g C,about 26 times of central downtown; 2) In 13 districts,NPP total weight of the top six areas were far away city,NPP of Huangpi district was highest( 45. 46 × 10~(10)g C),NPP of Jianghan district was lowest( 0. 32 × 10~(10) g C),both differ 142 times as much; 3) NPP per unit area on the space appeared that the central area was low and surrounding area was high,the regions of far away city far more than central downtown,ecological system of Wuhan average NPP per unit area is 179. 76 ×106 g C/km2,of which NPP per unit area of central downtown was about 56 × 106 g C/km2,NPP per unit area of far away city was about 186 × 106 g C/km2,about 3. 3 times the city of central downtown; 4) According the NPP per unit area of 13 districts in Wuhan to the size,Huangpi district Caidian district Xinzhou district Dongxihu Jiangxia district Hannan district Wuchang district Jianghan district Qingshan district Qiaokou district Jiangan district Hanyang district Hongshan district. Research suggested that far away city of Wuhan city should pay attention to develop ecological agriculture and ecological tourism,the central downtown should attach great importance to ecological environment protection,adopt the method of threedimensional and multi-dimensional to construct ecological space, increase the intensity of ecological restoration,improve the urban green space ratio,to create more comfortable living environment for citizens.
