Preparation, Characterization and MicrotribolicalBehavior Study of PSS/TiO_2 OrderlyAlternating Nanocomposite Multilayer Films

Multilayer ultrathin films composed of titanium dioxide nanosized particles and PSS had been fabricated on quartz substrates by a ironic self-assembly method. Contact angle measurements demonstrate that the water contact angle alternates regularly in accordance with molecules from the outermost layer of the films. The microtribological behavior of the thin films was studied by an AFM. The results indicate that the friction force decreases when the film number of layers increases.
