In this paper, the treatment of saccharin waste water was studied by the coagulative neutralizationbiochemical method. The effect of inorganic coagulant polymerized ferric sulfate, pH, coagulant aids ethoxylsesbania gum and CaO+MgO on the removal yield of CODCr, Cu2+ and chroma were investigated respectively. The experiment results showed that the removal yield of CODCr and chroma were up to 91.5% and 73% respectively when the amount of polymerized ferric sulfate and ethoxylsesbania gum were 930 mg/L and 10 mg/L, and under the condition of pH=3.7. When CaO+MgO was used as coagulant aids in the coagulative treatment of saccharin waste water, the sedimentation velocity of flocculating constituent increased and the sedimentation ratio reduced. The waste water reached the discharging standards treated by biochemical method after being treated with coagulative neutralization method.
