A Tungstosilicate Compound with Double 1∶11 Series Heteropolyanion Synthesis and Crystal Structure of K_(13)\ ·19H_(2)O

A double 1∶11 series tungstosilicate compound was synthesized by the reaction of α-K_(8)\·13H_(2)O with Ce(NO_(3))_(3) in HAc-KAc buffer solution and characterized via IR, UV spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Crystal data are as follows: triclinic, P_ī, space group, a=1.374 5(3) nm, b=1.933 1(4) nm,c=2.085 3(4) nm;α=112.24 °,β=106.35(3) °, γ=96.72(3) °;V=4.762 8 (16) nm~(3),Z=4, Dc=4.462 Mg/m~(3); F(000) = 5 588,u = 27.708 mm~(-1). The final R_(1) factor is 0.074 3 and wR_(2) is 0.170 8 for 13 054 observed reflections with I2σ(I). The crystal structure analysis reveals that the title compound consists of thirteen K~(+) ions, nineteen crystal water molecules and a heteropolyanion of \~(13-), and that the Ce~(3+) complex ion is eight-coordinated with a square antiprismatic configuration.
