Research Progress on the Oxidation of Cyclohexane Catalyzed by NHPI Composite System

Oxidation of cyclohexane to produce cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol is an important industrial process,but so far there are few catalyst and reaction process to meet the green environmental protection and convenient for industrial application.N-Hydroxyphthalimide(NHPI)catalyst has attracted much attention because of its effective catalytic effect of hydrocarbon radical oxidation under mild conditions.The process of cyclohexane oxidation catalyzed by NHPI composite catalytic systems in recent years was reviewed in this paper.Analysis showed that NHPI composite catalyst could obviously increase the conversion rate of cyclohexane and selectivity of cyclohexanone,but there generally exist some disadvantages of long reaction time,poor thermal stability and low recycling rate.Therefore,developing more efficient NHPI composite catalyst has an important practical significance in ocyclohexane oxidation process and its industrial application.
