Capital Account Liberalization in Developing Countries

After most of the industrial countries finished the liberalization of capital account,many developing countries put it into their marketization agenda. Because both advantages and risks exist, every country should implement this policy prudently. So, firstly, this essay explains the economic meaning of CAL and expounds on the influence of it theoretically. Then, after introducing several theories about the implementation of CAL, the author analyses the experiences of CAL in Chile and Indonesia. At last,a few suggestions are made on the feasible order of CAL.
