Reflections on China's Language Education Policies from the Perspective of the Belt and Road Initiative

The realization of the Belt and Road Initiative will be out of the question without the bridge of language. The idea of planning Chinese as the lingua Franca for the communication between the nations and districts alone the Belt and Road is decided by the needs to solve language problems,to utilize language as a resource,and to spread language as a right. The reinforcement of Chinese education nationally and development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in the countries alone the Belt and Road is urgently needed by our economic development and cooperation,and will be the first step towards Chinese globalization. The construction and implementation of the multiple foreign languages education policy is the global trend of foreign language education policy development and will surely promote the Belt and Road Initiative and accelerate the development and prosperity of China's economy.
