REN Wei(Pingdingshan College,Pingdingshan 467000,China)
The influential families were considered in a different way in the Southern and northern Dynasties though the word "native place" had a deep influence on society then.People held various attitudes to their native place since the degree of phenomenon of faking birth place register was different.Another reason is due to the various governing practice, capital moving, and cultural difference. In addition, the management system concerning inscription, and family pedigree is more complete and perfect in Southern Dynasty.
