Misunderstandings of ST/I

There are less studies on ST/I,though there are a lot of cases of misusage and misunderstanding.In order to clarify the concept and correct the abnormal use of nonstandard,the abbreviation ST should not be used any more.It is more accurate to use the terms such as "sight translation" and "sight interpretation".they are two individual types of interpretation activity like consecutive interpretation and simultaneous interpretation rather than a subdivision of the later.Sight interpretation is not just part of simultaneous interpretation training but a special activity of interpretation.
