About Bubble Point,Dew Point and Flash Calculations

Several considerations are proposed after flash calculation is discussed in class,which guide the students to understand the concepts of bubble point and dew point from another viewpoint.The bubble point equation and dew point equation are obtained from flash equation,and the calculation methods are discussed for the bubble point and dew point temperatures(Tb Td).A method is presented by which one can identify the chemical state of a mixture at a given temperature,pressure and composition.Furthermore,"Two Liquid Phase Flash" equations are derived and solution method is presented.Extra introduction benefits the students a lot in understanding the important parts and difficult parts of Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics and in widening thinking methodology in scientific activities to those who are capable for learning extra knowledge.
