Study on Pb~(2+) mineralized by bacteria for remediation

The heavy metal Pb2+ was mineralized as stable carbonate by CO32-decompounded by the enzyme effect of one soil bacteria,carbonate-mineralization microbe,induced by t he substrate in this research.The products was obtained by mixing the PbCl2 with bacteria and analyzed by SEM and XRD.The mechanism of biomineralization was studied.Effects of pH and Pb2+ on enzyme activity were determined,verifying the feasibility of remediation of Pb2+ pollution by the carbonate-mineralization microbe.
