The Optical Properties of ZnAl_2O_4:Cu,Mn Nanocrystals

ZnAl2O4:Cu,Mn nanocrystals were fabricated by sol-gel method.Its structure and optical properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction and photoluminescence.The results showed that the nanocrystals possessed pure single spinel structure,and in the optical excitation with wavelength of 309 nm,nanocrystals revealed emission peaks positioned at about 438 nm,511 nm,530 nm and 617 nm,respectively.With increasing annealing temperature,the intense of red emission peak increased,and the intense of blue emission peak increased with increasing the Cu2+ doping concentration.The CIE coordinates of these nanocrystals lied in the light region of the chromaticity diagram.
