METHODS TO QUANTIFY THE CONTENTS OF WOLLASTONITE AND CALCITE FROM HENHENG WOLLASTONITE ORES IN GANSU

Deng Chunlan Kang Shirui (MCI Geological Institute for Chemical Minerals)
The Hezheng wollastonite ores in Gansu are made up of major wollastonite, calcite and minor garnet. How to precisely quantify contents of the wollastonite and calcite, experimental researches indicated, should rely preferably on calcium measuring and high-temperature burning, respectively. Both of the methods are noticed as easy and convenient to use with a lower cost,a higher accuracy and a better fineness, thus exclusively suitable for a fast-speed phase analysis on samples for ore dressing.
