The phosphorite deposit of western Hubei province belongs to Jingxiang late sinian sedimentary phosphorite deposit, the distribution and occurrence of which was controlled by Shennongjia anticline and Huangling anticline. It is controlled by Pingya facies of shallow sea platform,as well as phosphorite, clay shale, dolomite phosphor-bearing formation and underwater uplift ancient structure.Late Sinian phosphorite evaluating marking of Doushantuo period is as follow:Doushantuo stage of upper Sinian series;Pingya facies of shallow sea platform;phosphorite, clay shale, dolomite phosphor-bearing formation;Doushantuo stage of metallogenic location with the thickness of less than 200m(best for150~50m);underwater uplift zone;phosphorite deposit distributed in the area with 0m thick moraine conglomerate;some deep line such as phosphor-bearing formation was less than 1000m.The evaluating result shows that some area have the better resources prosective and potential such as the deeper and periphery part of Jingxiang,Xichang,Xinhua,Shennongjia and Baokang phosphorite district.
