Application of DBDPO/SB_2O_3/DMDPB in LDPE Flame Retardant

The effects of some flame retardant additives such as decabromodiphenyl oxide (DBDPO), antimonous acid anhydride (Sb2O3)and 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-diphenylbutane (DMDPB) on low density polyethylene (LDPE) tensile and flame-retardant properties were studied in this paper. The influences of different quantities of DBDPO and Sb2O3 on the tensile strength, breaking elongation and flame retardant properties of LDPE were investigated. The studies also showed that the breaking elongation and flame retardant properties of LDPE/ Sb2O3/ DBDPO increased simultaneously after some DMDPB were added.
