Progress in Adsorbents Used for Air Separation by Pressure Swing Adsorption

In this paper the adsorption and separation mehanism of zeolites and carbon molecular sieves(CMS) for production of N2,O2 and CO2 gases by pressure swing adsorption techniques are summarized, and the progress in modification of zeolites and CMS adsorbents are remarked. The advantages and disadvantages of zeolites and CMS in use both at home and abroad in the present are discussed. Then the present situation of research of zeolites and CMS are elaborated. And the development orientation of pressure swing adsorbents for gas separation is also commented.
