A Pilot Study of Treatment of Emulsified Wastewater with Inorganic Membrane

A pilot study has been done to remove emulsified fuel.In order to reach the national discharging standard,inorganic ceramic membrane is used to dispose emulsified fuel.The results show that emulsified fuel can be removed basically with 200 nm inorganic ceramic membrane,and the infiltration liquid reach the national discharging standard.At the 0.16 MPa(optimal operation pressure),experiment can circulate 20 h continuously and steadily,and its average membrane permeability is 272 L· m-2·h-1.After cleaning 30 min,restore the membrane's standard permeability to higher than 95% of the original permeability.It is estimated that the average liquid running cost is 4.49 $/m3.The results show that disposing emulsified wastewater with inorganic ceramic membrane is economic and feasible.
