MATHEMATICAL MODELS OF SIMULTANEOUS PRODUCTION OF GLUCOSE OXIDASE AND CATALASE BY Aspergillus niger IN ERLENMEYER FLASK

Many papers have described the optimization of cultural conditions for the simultaneous production of glucose oxidase and catalase by fungi.However,to our knowledge, no investigations have been carried out on the kinetic models.Mathematical models of simultaneous production of glucose oxidase and catalase by Aspergillus niger in Erlenmeyer flask were investigated.The kinetic models of cell growth, enzyme production and substrate consumption were proposed.Logistic model for growth,the Luedeking-Piret equation for enzyme production and the Luedeking-Piret-like equation for glucose consumption were in good agreement with the experimental results.The kinetic models appeared to provide a reasonable description for each parameter in the fermentation.The production of both enzymes is growth-associated.
