In this article, using the GENESIS model, numerical simulation was carried out to study the silting and sedimentation of the sandy beach in Shihe South Island. The applicability of GENESIS software to the coastline evolution in this area was verified by comparing with the actual monitoring profile data.Further simulations were made to simulate the effects of different combinations of groin("Groin+Groin" and "Groin+sand bar") on shoreline evolution. Conclusions showed that "Groin+sand bar" model was more suitable for the region.
