Dentiform transformation method of iris inner edge location

This article putsforwarda new and simple location algorithm of iris inneredge(pupil).The algorithm dealswithevery line of an iris image.Firstly,the gray curve of every line in an iris image is transformed by a simple dentiform transformation.After the transformation,the gray curve is dentiformand the points of the iris inneredgeare at the turning points of the dentiformcurve.Afterwards,the points on the edge of the iris inner edge will be got and the iris inner edge will also be located according to the characteristicthat on the points of the iris inneredge the slopeof the dentiformcurve changes from negative valueto plus value.The characteristic of the algorithm is novelty,simple,nicety,and quick.
