Detection of underwater target echo based on Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization algorithm

XU Jiang-hu,ZHANG Ming-min (College of Electronic Engineering,Naval Univ.of Engineering,Wuhan 430033, China)  
An underwater target echo detection method is proposed based on Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization algorithm.The interference can be whitened by Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization algorithm and the target echo detection can be realized by normalized matched filter.The validityof this method is tested by processing of simulationdata and experimental data.
