An improved boundary element method for ship′s magnetic field extrapolation

In the ship′s magnetic field extrapolation,the mere measurement of the magnetic field vertical component will be helpful for project application.Aiming at this requirement,the coefficient matrix of BEM equations with the cylindrical surface boundary was deduced and the solution of right terms was given.After the normal derivative of the magnetic field was exchanged with the magnetic potential and the vertical component of magnetic field was taken as the known scalar quantity,it was more convenient to solve boundary conditions.The mock-up experiments show that the ship′s magne-tic field can accurately measure only with its vertical component and that the improved method is of high value for application.
