Effect of stiffness of sound bridge between shells on vibro-acoustic coupling characteristics of double cylindrical Shell

Considering the annular plates′ extensional vibration,the vibro-acoustic model coupled by sound bridge was established,which was used to calculate the characteristics of double cylindrical shell with different linked stiffness and analyze the effect of stiffness of sound bridge between the shells on the vibro-acoustic coupling characteristics of the double cylindrical shell,thereby obtaining the main control band of sound bridge coupling characteristics.The results show that the sound bridge between the shells directly affects the coupling mode of the double cylindrical shell.When the stiffness of annular plate is stronger,the coupling effect of water layer is greater in the lower band frequency;reversely,the coupling effect of annular plate is greater in the higher band frequency.When the stiffness of annular plate is weaker,especially close to the equivalent stiffness of water layer,the water layer coupling effect becomes larger and it is the main sound channel.When the sound radiation power is lower,it is beneficial to noise and vibration reduction.In the case of ensuring the shells′ stiffness,reducing the connection stiffness between the shells as much as possible can effectively lo-wer the sound radiation.
