The Hydroelastic Model for Calculating the Aft Part Vibration of Ships

The paper derives a fluid structure interaction equation of motion for aft part vibration of ships by use of 3 dimensional hydroelasticity theory. Based on 3 dimensional structure finite element method and 3 dimensional fluid boundary element mehtod, the authors establish a discretized model for hydroelastic analysis of aft part vibration of ships, give a prediction method for aft part vibration of medium size surface vessels, develop a set of computational programs on the micro IBM computer, calculate aft part vibration of two kinds of naval ships. The numerical results are in fairly good agreement with the experimental measure ments. The work presented in this thesis has provided a tool for the design of noise and vibration reduction of the medium size sarface vessels and improvement of the environment of stern.
