Analysis of Application Status of Helicopter Environmental Control System

In order to provide advice for the future installation of the environment control system for the helicopter in China, in this paper, all kinds of common airborne refrigeration systems and heating systems were summarized. The form of a typical helicopter's loop control system was counted. It was summarized that the development trend of the environment control system of helicopter was evaporative cycle refrigeration system combined with engine bleed air heating system. By analyzing the performance requirements of the main components of the evaporative cycle refrigeration system, it was suggested that the selection of scroll compressor, parallel flow heat exchanger and electronic expansion valve should be given more priority in installing an airborne evaporative cycle refrigeration system in the future.
