Synthesis,properties and adsorption behavior of double molecularly imprinted polymeric microsphere in seawater

Double molecularly imprinted polymeric microspheres(DMIPM) were prepared via heat-initiating polymerization with naphthalene and anthracene as the template molecules,acrylamide as the functional monomer,ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross linker and polyvinyl alcohol as dispersant by using suspension polymerization.Static adsorption was employed to evaluate the recognition properties of the MIPMs.The binding mechanism of the double template molecular polymer was explored by the ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry.The experiments revealed that the prepared DMIMP exhibited high selectivity and good recognition ability to naphthalene and anthracene than the MIPMs using single template molecule.The possible reasons were that the synergistic action of the two template molecules optimized the cavities of molecularly imprinted polymer(MIP) and increased the selective adsorptive capacity of MIP.A dispersive solid-phase microextraction(DSPME) method for the determination of trace 2—3 ring PAHs in seawater was proposed.Results showed that the recognition ability of the DMIPM didn′t descend even when the DMIPM was used repeatedly for 3 times.The DMIPM provides a new material for selective enrichment and determination of trace 2—3 ring PAHs in complex seawater.
