THE STUDIES ON HEAT INSULATION SYNTHESIS OF POLYFERRIC SULFATE FLOCCULANT

The kinetic characteristic was studied in the synthetic process of polyferric sulfate (PFS). It is found that the synthesis temperature of PFS,if controlled more than 50℃,can apparently raise the rate of the synthetic reaction of PFS and shorten the reaction period. When the value of relative water C is equal to 4.5 ~ 5.5,under the oxidation of catalyst,the heat insulation synthesis of PFS is realized with the raw Fe 2SO 4·7H 2O,getting rid of the heating equipment and economizing the processing. The heat insulation polyferric sulfate (HPFS) has better coagulating effect than the directly oxidizing PFS.
