Study on preparation of transparent iron oxide yellow with [Na_2Fe_6(SO_4)_4(OH)_(12)] residue

The technology of making transparent iron oxide yellow from iron vitriol residue of yellow sodium by dripping method has been studied.The factors such as the concentration of Fe(Ⅱ),temperature,air amount and rotation speed which affect the preparation of iron oxide yellow were discussed.The product has bee detected by methods of XRD and TEM,and the result shows that the shape of iron oxide yellow particle is needle-like and the major axis of particles is from 95 nm to 125 nm,the mean minor axis is from 18 nm to 25 nm.There are no conglomeration in the particles,which are well separated.
