MA Li xue, ZHAO Bo, JIANG Hai yan (No. 313 Hospital of PLA, Huludao 125000, China)
Objective: To study the possibility cutting the vidian nerve under the nasal endoscope. Methods:The effects, complications and practicability of three cutting methods were compared statistically. The first is trans maxillary sinus cutting; the second is trans nasal endoscope cutting; the third is trans nasal endoscope cutting combined with ethmoid nerve cauterization and nasal septum correction or the partial cut of the infraturbinal. Results:The second method is superior to the first one in terms of postoperative reaction and practicability, but there is no significant difference in cure rate between them. The third method is the best one. Conclusion:The method of cutting the vidian nerve under the nasal endoscope is simpler and more accurate than the trans maxillary sinus cutting. For improving the curative effect, ethmoid nerve cauterization and nasal septum correction or the partial cut of the infraturbinal can be performed during the endoscopic operation.
