Random fatigue life prediction of stiffened plates under thermo-acoustic loadings

Stress response of the thin-w alled structures subject to thermo-acoustic loadings has a great effect on the fatigue life prediction. This paper introduces the Von Karman large deflection equation for thin-walled structures subject to thermo-acoustic loading. The stress response of simply-supported aluminum alloy thin walled plate and stiffened plate under the same SPL and different temperatures is also calculated by FEM. The time history,PDF,PSD of stress are obtained. The fatigue life of the structures is estimated and analyzed by the rain flow cycle counting scheme with the Miner accumulative damage theory and Smith-Watson-Topper( SWT) average stress model.
