INVESTIGATION ON RECOMBINATION OF HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN IN GASEOUS WASTE OF NUCLEAR POWER PLANT(Ⅰ)——SMALL SCALE TEST

The recombination of hydrogen and oxygen in technical gaseous waste of nuclear power plant was investigated. The high efficient catalyst for reacting H_2 with O_2 to form water had been prepared. The various operating condition and effective factors for recombination of hydrogen and oxygen were tested, the best operating conditions were determined. Results show that catalyst Pd-Al_2O_3 prepared by us had very good characteristics, recombination rate of hydrogen was higher than 98.3%, recombination rate of oxygen was higher than 99.9%. After recombination, the concentration of H_2 and O_2 in waste gas were O_23 ppm, H_2400 ppm. The catalyst Pd-Al_2O_3 and operating conditions chosen for gaseous waste processing of nuclear power plant were satisfactory.
