The stability analysis of supercritical water flow in a vertical heated pipe

The description of a stability analysis method combing both the non-dimensional analysis method and frequency domain analysis method has been given in detail.The density-wave oscillation stability of vertical heated pipe has been analyzed,and the stability boundary has also been given out.The parametric studies of system inlet orifice coefficient,outlet orifice coefficient,friction of the wall,the pressure drop between inlet and outlet boundary,and the flow direction have been taken out,and the results showed that a higher inlet orifice coefficient is beneficial to the system stability,but a higher outlet coefficient and a higher friction coefficient can degrade the system stability.The system pressure drop has a limited effect on the stability.An upward flow system is more stable than a downward flow system.These calculation results can provide guidance to the SCWR reactor core and system design.
