Preliminary design of GDT-based 14 MeV neutron source

To meet the need of D-T fusion neutron source for fusion material testing,design goals were presented in this paper according to the international requirements of neutron source for fusion material testing.A preliminary design scheme of GDT-based 14 MeV neutron source was proposed,and a physics model of the neutron source was built based on progress of GDT experiments.Two preliminary design schemes(i.e.FDS-GDT1,FDS-GDT2) were designed;among which FDS-GDT2 can be used for fusion material testing with neutron first wall loading of 2 MW/m2.
