EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF SOLVENT EXTRACTION OF Pu IN 3A MIXER-SETTLER

The third plutonium cycle in the nuclear critically safe multistage mixer-settler is experi-mentally studied with uranium as a substitute for plutonium. Over-all level surface of two phasesis lower than the critically safe limit during operation. The uranium(plutonium)is extractedthrough(1-9)stages and then separated from fission products in(10-17)stages of the mixer-settler. The experimental values of U(Pu),HNO3 profiles in extraction cascade have beenobtairied.The recovery ratio of U(Pu)is more than 99.9%.The efficiency of extraction stage ofthe mixer-settler is 95%.
