RECOMMENDED POWER CYCLE FORNUCLEAR HEATING REACTOR

This paper analyzes the characteristic of heating source and cooling source offered by nuclear heating reactor cooperation.Based on design parameters of 5MW, 200MW, 500MW nuclear heating reactor,some power cycles,ammonia-water Rankine cycle, steam Ranking cycle;hot water flash cycle; Kalina cycle and helium gas cycle, have been calculated,analyzed and compared. The result shows that ammonia-water Rankine cycle has higher electricity efficiency, with the problem of comrrosiveness and stability overcome to be a widely applicable power cycle; steam Rankine cycle is ripe power cycle for nuclear heating reactor with smaller temperature dif- ference between reactor core input and output; but for larger temperature difference situation, hot water flash cycle has higher electricity efficiency to be a first recommended power cycle.
