Analysis of an RC Loop Multivibrator Output Waveform

Three NAND gates, resistor R and capacitor C may form a loop multib- rator. The output of the multivibrator is not a complete square waveform. It is a pulse with a tilting down segment in the top of the second harlf-period. Its front edge is a bit gentle slope in this paper. It pointed out that the waveform distortion is caused by a linear amplificative area in the voltage transmission characterstic in NAND gate Some calculation has been done. The way to improve the waveform is also indicated
