interpretation of Energetic Neutral Praticle Data From Alcator C Experiments

The energetic neutral particle spectra obtained from the Alcator C plas- ma duirng pellet and RF injection experiments using a 10 channel nlass resolving neutral spectrometer pose several interpretational difficulties.There is a dramatic decrease in the low energy neuutral particle flux(lkeV-5keV) indicating a sudden change in the edge neutral source,during RF injection experiments of power500 kW for low hybrid and 200 Kw for ICRF.These effects have been investigated using computer calculations of the expected energetic neutral parhticle flux for a variety of plasma profile and edge conditions and the results will be presented.
