Research of Ultrasonic Quench Technology

In accordance with the characteristic which the speed of ultrasonic in qucnch me- dium can raise the cooling capacity of quench medium to the workpicce,we make a comparision between ordinary quench to ultrasonic quench,and approach a way re- moving or reducing soft spots in the surface of quench workpicce and the way qucnch.The experiment result indicated that in ultrasonic quench mcdium not only the soft spots in the surface of workpicce have reduced obviously(about 1 / 2),average hardness has raised(HRC1.3)but also surface hardness tends to bc in good distribu- tion as well.So ancw way improving quench quality of workpiccc surface is tapped.
