Advances of Preparation and Application of Molybdenum Diselenide

In recent years,transition metal dichalcogenides( TMDs) have been paid much attention to both at home and abroad. Molybdenum diselenide( Mo Se2) has a wide range of applications because of its superior performances. This article deals primarily with structure and properties of molybdenum diselenide. The state-of-the-art of preparing molybdenum diselenide is surveyed on the basis of the introduction of solid phase method,liquid phase method and gas phase method. The advantages and disadvantages of all kinds of methods are evaluated. Furthermore,the application of Mo Se2 in lubrication and field-effect transistors is introduced in detail. In addition,the prospect of the application of Mo Se2 in photocatalysis and solar battery fields is described briefly.
