Hardware Implementation of Inter-task Communication Message-mailbox

Aiming at the problem that the real-time operating system kernel μC / OS-II lacks flexibility in the transmission of information between tasks,the semaphore management and message mailbox management were implemented based on hardware mechanism to make communication and synchronization between tasks more efficient and more flexible. The paper proposed that implement the hardware message-mailbox to obtain more flexibility and more efficiency in communication and synchronization between tasks. The design was described by Very-high-speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language( VHDL),simulated and verified in Xilinx' s ISE 8. 2,and implemented in Xilinx's Virtex-II Pro FPGA platform.
