Vortex-induced Oscillation of a Pair of Circular Cylinders in Uniform Crossflow

The vortex-induced vibration of a pair of circular cylinders subjected to uniform crossflow is discussed.A theoretical method for forecasting this natural phenomena is given,and the dynamic response of the cylinders are calculated under the condition of that the ratio of distance between ceters and diametre of the cylinder is 1 75.The calculation results show that:in the range of 2 5V r3 5 or 4 5V r5 5,the longutiudinal responses of the cylinders will become violent,and in the range of 4 5V r6 0,the transverse responses of the cylinders will become larger. \ \
