Design and Experiment of Flat Plate Solar Air Collector With Double Serpentine Flow Passages

Plate type solar air collector was an important way of solar energy utilization. A new type of flat plate solar air collector was designed through improving the flow channels of traditional flat-plate solar air collector,which the flow channel was double serpentine upper and lower flow.Experimental investigation on characteristics of solar air collectors after two models were made and collected the datum according to the geographical location and climate conditions of Daqing. It was simulated by Fluent software,compared with the experimental results,the simulation results showed that the serpentine double flow collection efficiency of flat plate solar air collector thermal efficiency was 21.74%,which was higher than the conventional collector.
