Effects of Nitrogen on Related Enzyme Activities and Gene Expression of Rice Seedling Nitrogen Metabolism

In order to determine the effect of nitrogen on rice seedlings of different protein content,4 japonica rice seedlings with different contents of protein treated were induced by hydroponics.The differences of dry matter accumulation,nitrate reductase(NR)and glutamine synthetase(GS)activities and the expression of OsNR1,OsGs1~(-1) genes were studied under 0.05 mol·L~(-1) KNO3_ treatments on japonicarice seedlings with 4 different protein content.The results showed that after induced by 0.05 mol·L~(-1) KNO_3,the dry weights of over ground part and root were higher than control,the contents of NO_3~--N and NH_4~+-N in leaves and roots were significantly higher than the control,NR and GS activities in leaves were significantly higher than the control,OsNR1 gene expression relatively enhanced with the increase of nitrogen treatment time,the maximum value was reached when 2 htreated,and then decreased with time;the change in OsGs1~(-1) expression is not not obvious,OsGs1~(-1) gene expression significantly increased and was 1.2 times that before treatment when treating for 8 h.
